Yemeni Houti rebels have claimed responsibility of the attacks on Abu Dhabi International Airport that has left 3 people dead and six others wounded.

In a statement, the Abu Dhabi police said that three fuel tankers had exploded in the industrial Musaffah area near storage facilities of oil firm Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and added that a fire had broken out at a construction site at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The police said small flying objects possibly belonging to drones may have fallen in the two Abu Dhabi targets, causing the explosion and fire.

Houthi military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said that the group launched an attack deep into the U.A.E. He refrained from providing any further information, saying a statement would be released soon.
