Thailand has placed an order for an unknown number of AH-6 light attack helicopters from Boeing.
Confirming the development, the Pentagon said in a statement that Boeing has been awarded $104 million to manufacture these aircraft for Bangkok.
“The Boeing Co., Mesa, Arizona, was awarded a $103,774,884 modification to an earlier contract for AH-6 aircraft. Work will be performed in Mesa, Arizona, with an estimated completion date of May 30, 2025. Fiscal 2010 Foreign Military Sales (Thailand) funds in the amount of $103,774,884 were obligated at the time of the award,” the release said.

Boeing says the AH-6 is a helicopter ideal for Light Attack, Precision Attack, Anti-armor, Close Combat Attacks, Reconnaissance, Security & Escort, Troop Insertion/Extraction, Combat Search & Rescue.
The AH-6’s mission computer processes large amounts of data and shares information across all aircraft systems quickly. It also increases safety, improves and aids decision making, enhances situational awareness, reduces pilot workload and decreases aircraft life cycle support costs.
