Lockheed Martin has won an advance acquisition contract valued $1.05 billion to produce new F-35 combat aircraft for U.S. forces and Foreign customers

This contract procures long lead time materials, parts, components, and efforts necessary to maintain on-time production and delivery of 118 Lot 18 aircraft F-35 aircraft for the Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, non-U.S Department of Defense (DOD) participants, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.

Fiscal 2023 aircraft procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $172,000,000; fiscal 2023 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $289,000,000; FMS customer funds in the amount of $427,200,000; and non-U.S. DOD funds in the amount of $163,200,000 will be obligated at the time of award.

Work is expected to be completed in January 2024.
