Poland Acquires Two Spy Satellites from Airbus

Poland has reportedly purchased two Pléiades Neo observation and reconnaissance satellites from Airbus Defense & Space.

Polish defense minister Mariusz Blaszczak and his French counterpart Sébastien Lecornu signed the €575 million contract on December 27. The contract will also include ground data processing center, French defense ministry confirmed in a statement

The satellites are expected to be delivered by 2027.

"This contract is proof of the deep ties that unite France and Poland in the field of defence," said Lecornu.

The two ministers also worked on the military aid agenda for Ukraine for the first quarter of 2023.
