China Develops New Military-grade Chips in the Face of U.S. Export Restrictions

As the Biden Administration tightens restrictions on the export of high-performance chips to Beijing, China's Xiangteng Company announced the development of 6 chip products, including a control protocol processing SiP chip, a dual-channel high-speed isolator chip, two discrete interface chips, and two 429 chips.
The six new chips incuding 17 'finalized' in 2022, can be widely used in aviation, aerospace, ships, weapons and other fields, and have broad market prospects and commercial value, Xiangteng Company a part of the of the Aviation Industry Computing Institute said in a statement carried by Aviation Industries Corporation of China.
The control protocol processing SiP chop, with a 600MHz main frequency HKSA9201 dual-core SoC processor as the core, can provide high-strength password protection and identity confirmation mechanism. The chip and the encryption chip support many algorithms.
The dual-channel high-speed isolator chip provides higher isolation voltage, better port ESD protection level, and optimizes high data rate isolation transmission and lower channel transmission. It can solve the problem of suppressing noise and surge interference in data transmission across power domains.
The two discrete interface chips are based on a new generation of compact on-chip lightning indirect effect protection technology, area-optimized special protection devices, high-suppression wide-voltage threshold conversion, and dynamic on-chip health monitoring system design to achieve "mini" packaging.

The multi-channel discrete input conversion and lightning indirect effect safety protection and high-reliability signal conversion provide users with product performance upgrades and bring a more efficient, compact and stable ultimate user experience.
The two 429 chip products conform to the technical development trend of low voltage and single voltage. The single 5V 429 bus driver uses a single 5V power supply, and uses the internal charge pump and external capacitor to generate -5V power supply, which greatly reduces the cost of positive and negative power supply components in user applications. It can configure independent low-speed and high-speed modes, and provide recommended solutions for bus lightning protection.
ARINC429 bus protocol chip is the product with the smallest volume and weight among similar products in China, and the board area is reduced by 75% compared with similar products, which significantly enhances the chip scope of application. Computing Institute Xiangteng has formed a layout of five serialized products, which can meet the needs of users for miniaturization, high reliability, and low power consumption.
Up until now, Xiangteng Computing Institute has finalized 45 types of chips, which are widely used in high-safety and high-reliability fields such as aviation, aerospace, ships, weapons, industrial control, and automobiles.
