China Deploys Wing Loong 2H Drone to Create Artificial Rain

The Sichuan Provincial Meteorological Bureau in China used the Wing Loong 2H meteorological drone to carry out artificial rain (snow) enhancement operations in the western Sichuan plateau area, for the rejuvination of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River.
As of April 6, the "Wing Loong" 2H also called "Pterosaur" has completed 2 sorties of operations, with a total of more than 10 hours of flight planed. The area affected by the operations is the ecological demonstration area in Northwest Sichuan, covering parts of Aba and Ganzi prefectures.
The "Wing Loong" 2H meteorological UAV used for this mission has the characteristics of accurate detection, rapid response, real-time control, precise evaluation, high catalytic efficiency, and low operating costs.  Itg can provide basic support for weather modification monitoring and early warning, command operations and effect evaluation.
Up until now, under the organization of the Meteorological Department, the "Wing Loong" 2H meteorological drone has carried out 13 sorties of operational flights in forest and grassland fire prevention, resistance to high temperature and drought, increase of storage and supply, and guarantee of major events, with a total of nearly 90 flight operations.
