Russia is using all-terrain tactical buggies buggies for dismounted soldiers in Ukraine as they offer quick mobility over rough landscape.
Recently two ‘Erophey’ buggies were bought by train to Khabarovsk international airport where a ceremony of delivering the all-terrain tactical buggies to the special military operation zone took place.
The buggies were transported to the battlezone in Ukraine abroad an Il-76MD military transport aircraft, a Russian MoD release said.
In February 2023, the first Erophey buggy was transferred for testing to the Eastern Military District’s firing range. Then it took almost 6 months to start small quantity production and to revise uncovered malfunctions.
Use of this new means of transport indicates the changing nature of the battle in Ukraine where the focus is on mobility and close combat.
The Government of the Khabarovsk region ordered to manufacture 17 Erophey buggies until the end of the year.
