Saab to Reveal Giraffe 1X Deployment Set Configuration at DSEI-2023

Saab is set to unveil a novel configuration for their Giraffe 1X radar system, marking its debut at the DSEI 2023 event.

This setup is designed for ease of transport, efficient relocation, and rapid deployment, making it suitable for various battlefield scenarios and situations where air threats can impact stationary installations.

The Giraffe 1X Deployment Set features quick deployability, a compact form factor, software-driven functionality, and lightweight 3D AESA radar technology. It is well-suited for urgent operations with space constraints, serving both mobile and fixed installations.

Additionally, the Giraffe 1X provides air defense target data, drone detection for countering unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and a sense-and-warn capability for identifying incoming rockets, artillery, and mortar threats. It undergoes regular software upgrades to address evolving threats.
