Azerbaijan’s Space Agency Buys Israeli Satellites

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Azerbaijan's space agency, Azercosmos, have announced an agreement for the sale of two of IAI's multispectral electro-optical satellites.

The satellites offer a native resolution better than 0.5 meters, along with a long lifespan and high imaging performance, as stated in IAI's official release.

Under the terms of the agreement, IAI will provide Azercosmos with two satellites within the Azersky-2 program, along with the technology and knowledge needed for the construction and operation of these satellites.

IAI further noted that the agreement encompasses a long-term business partnership between IAI and Azercosmos, manifested in the establishment of an innovation, entrepreneurship, academic, and study ecosystem in the field of space in Azerbaijan over the years.
