BAE Systems Invests In UK-based AI Start-up Oxford Dynamics

BAE Systems has invested in Oxford Dynamics, a UK-based deep-tech start-up specialising in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, to accelerate the deployment of emerging technologies in defence and security.

The partnership will merge BAE Systems’ defence expertise with Oxford Dynamics’ AI-driven data capabilities to explore next-generation solutions for the U.K. and allied forces across air, land, sea, space and cyber domains.

In the initial phase, Oxford Dynamics’ AI technology will be embedded into BAE Systems’ Prophesea platform—a digital tool that helps defence organisations maintain the operational readiness of critical assets, including warships, armoured vehicles and combat aircraft.

Founded in 2020, Oxford Dynamics develops intelligent autonomous systems that collaborate to interpret data, coordinate actions and make real-time decisions. Its solutions are designed to improve mission planning, enhance precision and enable faster responses in complex operational environments.
