Indonesian firm PTDI finalized an agreement with Linkfield Technologies to procure 25 N219 aircraft tailored to specific end-user needs in China.
The agreement was signed during Aero Asia 2023 exhibition held at Zhuhai International Airshow Center from November 23-26. The N219 is equipped with a Type Certificate (TC) from Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation. It can be customized with various missions and configuration like the passenger/VIP/cargo/troop transport, medical evacuation or even amphibious.
The deal includes 5 units for China's Bandung Airlines Co. Ltd. and 20 units for a Chinese leasing company. The agreement was marked by a Letter of Intent (LoI) signing witnessed by PTDI Deputy Chief Commissioner Bonar Halomoan Hutagaol.
At the exhibition, PTDI also showcased large-scale models of CN235, NC212i, and the N219. PTDI also unveiled the N219 Cockpit Demonstrator.
The N-219 is a twin-engine, 19-seater transport aircraft specifically crafted for versatile missions in remote regions. With a cruising speed of 190 knots (350 km/h), this aircraft is tailored for tasks such as cargo and passenger transport, troop transport, military surveillance, search and rescue, and medevac operations. The aircraft is designed to efficiently operate in and out of remote, semi-prepared airstrips, making it well-suited for the challenging conditions in Indonesia's archipelago.
