Royal Thai Navy orders Mk31 inertial reference system from Teledyne TSS for Chonburi class frigate

Teledyne TSS Limited announced the receipt of a contract from the Royal Thai Navy. The contract for one Mk31 Inertial Reference System for gun and radar system stabilisation will be fitted on The Royal Thai Navy Chonburi Class Frigate, and delivery is due in January, 2010. Teledyne TSS are currently exhibiting at Defence Systems and Equipment International, DSEi 09. The MK31 uses 3 separate solid state ring laser gyros to collect the data then uses its own software algorithm to analyse it. It then delivers the results to the ship's systems in real-time.
