The United States has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Poland of AGM-158B-2 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile with Extended Range All-Up-Rounds and related elements of logistics and program support for an estimated cost of $1.77 billion.
Poland is at the forefront in terms of support to Ukraine and the missiles will help weaponise its F-16 and F-35 jets.
The Government of Poland has requested to buy up to 821 AGM-158B-2 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles with Extended Range (JASSM-ER) All-Up-Rounds. Also included are AGM-158 JASSM classified test equipment besides related systems and support.
The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin.
In another approval, Poland will buy 745 AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles and related elements of logistics and program support for an estimated cost of $1.69 billion.
Approval was also accorded of a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Poland of 232 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder Missiles and related elements of logistics and program support for an estimated cost of $219.1 million.
The principal contractor for the last 2 potential sales is RTX corporation (Raytheon).
