The Russian Armed Forces have started receiving BMR-3MA "Boar" combat mine clearance vehicles.

These vehicles come equipped with advanced TMT-S roller minesweepers, capable of clearing both traditional anti-tank mines and modern anti-ship and anti-bottom mines commonly used by NATO forces, according to Russian media.

The conflict in Ukraine prompted Western states to supply such mines to the Ukrainian army, resulting in challenges for the Russian army's advancement across various fronts. The deployment of these mines has led to damage to military equipment and casualties among Russian Armed Forces personnel.

Experts suggest that the increased presence of new Vepr infantry fighting vehicles on the frontlines will enable Russian troops to achieve more significant results in offensive operations. Clearing enemy-laid minefields will become easier, allowing military equipment to advance more rapidly.

Overcoming minefields has become a crucial task for accelerating special military operations by the Russian Armed Forces. It's noted that the Ukrainian armed forces previously faced a shortage of such equipment, contributing to the failure of their counteroffensive in the summer-autumn of 2023.
