In a move marking its European debut, Hanwha Aerospace presented its multiple-barrel guided weapon system, 'Chunmu,' at the ongoing Eurosatory-2024 exhibition in Paris.

The 'Chunmu' system on display features a variety of missiles with ranges of 80, 160, and 290 kilometers, along with 122mm caliber rockets. This April, Poland signed a contract worth over $1 billion to purchase 72 HOMAR-K missile launchers, which are a Polish version of the Chunmu. This system fired a CTM-290 precision-guided ballistic missile with a range of 290 km and a caliber of 600 mm.

The system has garnered interest from regions such as the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia, the company said.

Hanwha Aerospace is considering establishing a 'Chunmu User Club' to facilitate knowledge-sharing as more countries express interest in purchasing the system. Additionally, the company already operates the 'K9 Self-Propelled Artillery User Club,' which shares operational know-how among nine participating countries.

At the exhibition, Hanwha Aerospace is also showcasing the second performance improvement model of the K9 self-propelled howitzer, featuring a fully automated turret, a K10 ammunition carrier, and modular propellant charges meeting NATO standards. Hanwha Systems is presenting its Integrated Battlefield System (IVS), which integrates command and fire control functionalities, various sensors, and communication systems.
