Boeing Commissions ESG for Ground Support Analysis of German Chinook Fleet
CH-47F Block II Chinook helicopter

Boeing has awarded a contract to ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH (ESG ESOH), a subsidiary of Hensoldt, to conduct an extensive analysis of ground support equipment for the 60 CH-47F Block II Chinook helicopters ordered by the German Armed Forces.

This comprehensive ESOH (Environment, Safety & Occupational Health) analysis will evaluate the environmental impact, safety, and health protections of the materials, machinery, and tools used for the operation, maintenance, and repair of these heavy-lift helicopters.

The contract represents a step towards the introduction of Germany's new heavy-lift helicopter fleet into the Bundeswehr. ESG is the first member of the German Chinook industrial team to receive such an order from Boeing.

Together with other partners in the German Chinook industrial team, ESG will advance the next crucial steps of the STH (Schwerer Transporthubschrauber) program in collaboration with Boeing.
