United States and Spain finalized an agreement Wednesday for Spain to acquire Lockheed Martin's Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) missiles along with related support equipment.

This agreement makes Spain the 16th nation to partner with the PAC-3 program.

The PAC-3 MSE is designed to defend against threats such as tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, hypersonics, and aircraft.
