PT PAL Indonesia, Leonardo to Partner on Weapon System Integration

PT PAL Indonesia has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Leonardo S.p.A. Italy, through its Electronics Division, to advance weapon system integration and explore potential future projects.

The signing ceremony took place in Surabaya on July 31.

PT PAL Indonesia's Chief Marketing Officer Willgo Zainar expressed his optimism about the collaboration, stating, "This cooperation will be advantageous to the other newer projects ahead, such as another potential combatant vessel from Indonesian navy as well as export market."

This partnership marks a commitment by both PT PAL Indonesia and Leonardo S.p.A. Italy to explore a series of potential future projects. The collaboration has been strengthened with a primary focus on the integration of weapon systems.

The cooperation also focuses on promotion, joint development, and maturation of business opportunities for PT PAL Indonesia and Leonardo S.p.A. Italy, encompassing products, systems, and various services in these fields. This includes localization, technology transfer, and/or knowledge, and joint development.
