Kurganmashzavod, under Rostec's High-Precision Systems holding, has delivered new batches of BMD-4M airborne combat vehicles and BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
These vehicles feature enhanced protection characteristics, including standard sets of additional armor and lattice screens, significantly increasing their survivability in combat. Kurganmashzavod consistently meets its monthly delivery plans for special-purpose equipment to the Russian army. The additional protection is supplied with the equipment and can be mounted in the units, allowing for rapid transportation on standard cargo platforms.
Rostec produces a wide range of weapons and special equipment for airborne troops, including self-propelled mortars 2S41 "Drok", BMD-4M airborne combat vehicles, and parachute systems for their landing. Bekkhan Ozdoyev, member of the bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia and industrial director of Rostec's arms cluster, noted that Kurganmashzavod has completed production of a new batch of BMD-4M vehicles equipped with additional protection, which has already been sent to the troops.
High-Precision Complexes supplies the Russian Ministry of Defense with BMD-4M combat vehicles and BTR-MDM armored personnel carriers according to schedule. Additionally, the holding company is delivering repaired BMD-2s to the troops ahead of schedule.
