The United States has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to Germany of PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement Missiles and related equipment for an estimated cost of $5.0 billion.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.
The Government of Germany has requested to buy up to 600 PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) missiles (includes 10 fly-to-buy missiles).
It will support Germany’s goal of improving national and territorial defense as well as interoperability with U.S. and NATO forces.
The prime contractor will be Lockheed Martin, located in Dallas, TX. The purchaser typically requests offsets.

This is evidenced by the US State Department's approval of preparations for concluding a 5-billion contract between the German Ministry of Defense and Raytheon for the supply of more than 600 MIM-104F PAC-3MSE anti-aircraft interceptor missiles for the Patriot PAC-3MSE systems. The Alliance continues to prepare in full swing for a possible exchange of strikes with the Russian Aerospace Forces and Missile Forces, as well as Belarus in the European theater of military operations.
