Spanish Eurofighter Typhoon fighters engaged with Indian Sukhoi Su-30MKIs during Tarang Shakti, the largest international air exercise in India's history.
The ‘Tarang Shakti', brought together forces from Spain, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and India for high-intensity training. Spanish Eurofighter Typhoon pilots arrived in Sulur, India, on August 8, to participate in the exercise, which took place from August 6-12.
During the exercise, Spanish pilots engaged in one-on-one and one-on-two combat scenarios with Indian Sukhoi Su-30MKIs, manufactured in Russia. This marked the first deployment of the Spanish Air and Space Force in India, with the exercise inspired by the renowned Red Flag 2024 training program.
The exercise aimed to foster military collaboration, increase interoperability, and enhance capabilities in Air-to-Surface Air Attack, Air Control, and close combat with simulated Air-to-Air weaponry.
The Spanish Eurofighters were also part of the Pacific Skies 24 exercise (June 27-August 15), a joint air exercise held by France, Germany, and Spain.
