Rheinmetall showcased its advanced Keiler Next Generation (NG) at the Bergen military training area to 100 international defense experts.
In the first section, the Keiler NG demonstrated its ability to rapidly create mine lanes using the Pearson mine plough, which clears mines at up to 250 meters per minute and can be quickly swapped for a dozer blade for other tasks.
The second section showcased the Plofadder detonation cord system from Rheinmetall Denel Munition, which, with its two systems, can cut a 160-meter by nine-meter breach in mine fields within minutes, effectively overcoming deep mine barriers.
The Keiler NG features a mine plough and plofadder detonation cord system, plus a magnetic signature duplicator that triggers second-generation mines ahead of the plough. It also has a lane marking system to guide following forces in low visibility or at night.
The Keiler NG, unveiled at Eurosatory 2024, features an integrated crane for clearing readiness and handling Plofadder ammunition boxes. For self-defense, it includes the ROSY rapid obscurant system and the Natter 12.7 remote-controlled weapon station.
Designed for remote operation, it also supports active protection systems and digital battlefield integration. The crew consists of two soldiers.
