Naval Group Signs Industrial Cooperation Agreement with Netherlands for Submarine Program

The Netherlands and Naval Group have signed an Industrial Cooperation Agreement (ICA) for the Netherlands Submarine Capability (NSC) program.

The formal contract with the Netherlands Ministry of Defense will be finalized in the coming weeks.

The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Economic Affairs in The Hague, where Dirk Beljaarts, Minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands, and Pierre Eric Pommellet, Chairman and CEO of Naval Group, signed the agreement.

The Industrial Cooperation Agreement (ICA) outlines Naval Group's strategy for working with the Netherlands defense and maritime sectors on the Netherlands Submarine Capability (RNSC) program.

Naval Group will provide four next-generation submarines based on the Barracuda design to replace the older Walrus-class subs.

The ICA is key to the program, specifying how Naval Group will collaborate with Dutch industries and knowledge centers to boost the local autonomy.
