KNDS France has announced the export of its NERVA LG multi-mission robots to Italy for use by Italian special forces in various operational tasks.

The company did not provide further details about the export, such as the number of robots delivered or the contract value.

The NERVA LG robot provides remote observation, detection, and manipulation capabilities. Weighing 5 kg, it operates at speeds up to 13 km/h and has a communication range of 1000 meters. Its semi-autonomous navigation system and ability to be reconfigured in the field enable use in missions involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs) or chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats. Its modular design allows for integration with various combat systems.
