The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the targeting of Mustafa Ahmad Shahdi, the Deputy Commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces, in an operation aimed at weakening Hezbollah’s operational capabilities along Israel’s northern border.
Shahdi, who played a key role in organizing attacks against IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon, was also responsible for Radwan Forces’ activities during the Syrian conflict from 2012 to 2017.
The IDF stated that the elimination of Shahdi aligns with ongoing efforts to curb Hezbollah’s ability to carry out operations, including the group’s “Conquer the Galilee” plan, which poses a potential threat to Israeli troops and northern communities.
