EDGE, Indra Form Joint Venture to Develop Radar Systems in Abu Dhabi

EDGE and Indra Sistemas have launched a joint venture, PULSE, in Abu Dhabi to boost radar production, innovation, and local capabilities in the UAE.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Spain’s Defense Minister, Margarita Robles.

The new venture will focus on engineering, developing, and manufacturing radar systems for air, land, and maritime applications. The projected order backlog includes approximately 300 radar systems for non-NATO and non-EU countries, positioning PULSE as a key player in next-generation radar technologies.

The agreement strengthens the partnership between EDGE and Indra, which began in 2023. The joint venture will involve two entities: one primarily responsible for the development and integration of radar systems and the other focused on manufacturing operations in Abu Dhabi.

PULSE will also establish research infrastructure, laboratories, and testing facilities, aiming to improve local research and development capabilities. The initiative includes training programs to develop skilled Emirati professionals and technical experts.

The partnership aligns with Indra’s Leading the Future Strategic Plan and EDGE’s vision of expanding sovereign capabilities.
