Embraer has signed a contract with an undisclosed customer for two C-390 Millennium aircraft.
The agreement includes training, a support package, and spare parts.
The C-390 aircraft will be customized to meet specific requirements such as tactical transport of troops and vehicles, humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and medical evacuation.
This marks the tenth country to select the C-390 Millennium, joining Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Slovakia.
Since entering service in 2019, the C-390 fleet has accumulated over 15,500 flight hours with a mission capability rate of 93%. The aircraft can carry a payload of 26 tons, operate on unpaved runways, and perform roles including search and rescue, firefighting, and air-to-air refueling.
The KC-390 variant, equipped for aerial refueling, has been demonstrated as both a tanker and a receiver in operational settings.
