Specialists from the Russian military-industrial complex have designed the TraMP (Transport Aviation Multipurpose Platform), a tactical transport UAV.
According to Russian Arms Telegram channel, the UAV is currently undergoing ground tests, with its first flight scheduled for April.
TraMP is capable of carrying up to 250 kilograms of cargo over a distance of more than 600 kilometers. The vehicle features a 2650-liter cargo compartment that allows it to drop large cargo with a parachute to a specific location. The UAV has a cruising speed of 195 kilometers per hour and an operational ceiling of 3,000 meters.
Currently, the UAV’s control systems and mechanisms are being tested, with ground runs performed to assess the calculated parameters. These preparations are intended to ensure the UAV’s readiness for its first flight.
The UAV is also equipped with a reinforced chassis and large-diameter tires, enabling takeoff and landing on short or poorly prepared surfaces. Its modular design allows for the replacement of key components, such as the wing, engine, and chassis, in the field. The UAV can also be used as a carrier for small-sized FPV drones or as a repeater in communications.
