Patria, Babcock Partner to Offer 6x6 Vehicle Platform to U.K. Armed Forces

Patria and Babcock International Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to present the Patria 6x6 vehicle platform to the U.K. armed forces.

This collaboration aims to address the British Army’s operational requirements.

Under the agreement, Patria will lead the design and development of the 6x6 platform with enhancements specific to U.K. military needs. Babcock will manage large-scale production in alignment with the U.K. Ministry of Defence’s Land Industrial Strategy. Additionally, Babcock will deliver a comprehensive support package to ensure operational readiness throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.

The Patria 6x6 is a modular and adaptable platform designed for various mission configurations. It is currently produced under the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme, which involves Finland, Latvia, Sweden, and Germany. Over 200 vehicles have been delivered to date, with over 800 units ordered under the programme.
