Ukraine, Denmark Strengthen Defense Ties with Radar Partnership

Ukraine’s state-owned defense company, Ukrainian Defense Industry (UDI), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Danish radar manufacturer Weibel Scientific to strengthen Ukraine’s radar capabilities and expand cooperation with European defense industries.

The agreement was signed during the Munich Security Conference in the presence of Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin.

The partnership includes plans to establish technical maintenance and repair facilities for Weibel Scientific’s radar systems in Ukraine. It also provides for joint technology development, the potential formation of a joint enterprise, and cooperation with educational institutions in both Ukraine and Denmark.

Weibel Scientific specializes in continuous-wave radar technology, which is used in surveillance and defense applications.
