Elbit Systems has introduced Dominion-X, an autonomous management operating system designed for unmanned platforms.
The system enables mission planning, operation, and management of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UASs) and Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) through an open architecture framework.
Dominion-X supports multi-mission operations, integrating various robotic platforms and payloads for battlefield applications. It operates in GNSS-denied environments and incorporates artificial intelligence for automatic target recognition. The system enhances situational awareness with real-time 3D mapping and distributed sensing, optimizing data fusion and decision-making.
The operating system ensures mission continuity through hot-swap capabilities and handshake protocols. It includes embedded ground control functionality, removing the need for individual control stations. Additionally, Dominion-X features terrain dominance capabilities, autonomous precision guidance, and enhanced communication options, including software-defined radio (SDR) and electronic warfare (EW) immunity.
Elbit Systems states that Dominion-X has reached Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL9), indicating operational maturity. The system is designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce human workload, and support complex unmanned missions in contested environments.
