Russia’s Rosoboronexport (ROE) will soon open a full-fledged service center for Mi series of helicopters in Peru.
In the run up to the International Defense Technology Exhibition (SITDEF) PERU 2025, which will be held from April 24 to 27 in Lima (Republic of Peru), ROE Director General Alexander Mikheev announced that the Mi helicopter repair facility will open “in the short term.”
"One of the main topics for discussion is the certification and commissioning of a service center for repair and maintenance of Mi helicopters in Peru. This infrastructure facility, built under a Rosoboronexport contract, will open in the short term and will be able to maintain the airworthiness of Russian-made helicopters from all Latin American countries that operate our equipment," noted Alexander Mikheev
During SITDEF PERU 2025, we expect to strengthen ties between our countries, discuss current and prospective joint projects, present modern models of Russian weapons, as well as equipment and machinery for eliminating the consequences of natural disasters, he said.
The company will present to the attention of the region's ground forces the T-90MS Proryv tank in its latest version, the 120-mm self-propelled artillery gun 2S40 Floks, the 9K515 Tornado-S multiple launch rocket system, the Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system with the new Bulat missile, as well as a wide range of Russian small arms and close combat weapons.
Rosoboronexport will offer Air Force delegations the opportunity to see the MiG-35 and Su-35 fighters, the Il-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, including the “flying hospital” version.
Rosoboronexport will tell its partners in detail about its proposals in the field of unmanned systems. In particular, it will present the reconnaissance and reconnaissance-strike systems Orlan-10E, Orlan-30, Orion-E and loitering munitions of the Kub family.
These systems, which have demonstrated their high performance in real combat conditions, are of particular interest to representatives of various branches of the armed forces and other security agencies.
