Defexpo 2010 India, the land and naval systems show to be held in New Delhi from February 14-18 2010 will be 15% bigger over Defexpo 2008. Organized by the Defense Exhibitions Organization (DEO), it is expected to be held over 20,000 square metres of space, as compared to 17000 square meters of Defexpo 2008. All available space is said to be sold out with major exhibitors such as Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Boeing, Mahindra-BAE Systems, Tatas, HAL, DRDO, Finmechannica, SAAB and several others cornering most prominent spaces. There is also tremendous interest from Indian exhibitors, particularly the small and medium industry which has made Defexpo a key event to showcase their defense manufacturing capabilities. Small and medium companies from Europe, U.S., Israel and other countries who are sub-contractors to large integrators are also attending Defexpo in a big way. The organizers are planning major initiatives to make the participation of exhibitors worthwhile including B2B meetings, seminar and VVIP lounges. The response to the event has been overwhelming as despite a late state in booking of exhibition space, the show has been sold out in a record 4 -6 weeks of commencing bookings.
