AERO Vodochody awarded support contract for L-39 aircraft by Republic of Algeria

AERO Vodochody a.s. signed a contract with the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for L-39 aircraft support and durability extension. “This is a proof that AERO Vodochody is not only proud on its tradition of legendary Albatros aircraft but that it tries to support L-39 customers and users,” said Ladislav Simek, president of the company. AERO Vodochody is a manufacturer of L-39 training aircraft, known as Albatros. Historically AERO delivered almost 3000 of these aircraft and still over 1000 aircraft are in use. "AERO Vodochody prepared for its customers several packages that represent overhauls, durability extension and system upgardes. AERO negotiate the packages with several users of these aircraft now,” added Jiri Sauer, Vice President Defence & MRO division.
