French Renault Truck Defense has awarded NOK 140 millions contract to Kongsberg for Protector RWS

Kongsberg has booked an order on Protector remote weapon stations (RWS) valued at NOK 140 millions from the French Renault Truck Defense. The order is part of the NOK 500 million framework agreement with delivery of the Protector remote weapon control system to upgrade the French Army`s Renault VAB 4x4 armored personnel carriers. The order was signed in May 2008. Kongsberg is an international, knowledge-based group that supplies high-technology systems and solutions to customers engaged in the oil and gas industry, the merchant marine, and the defence and aerospace industries. In 2009, Kongsberg had a turnover of NOK 13.8 billion, and the Group had 5 423 employees in more than 25 countries.
