GEA wins $576 million contract for support for F414 engine from US Defense

General Electric Aviation, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $576,000,000 three-year performance-based logistics requirements contract for repair, replacement, and program support for F414 engine components used on F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G aircraft. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, Fla. (62 percent), and Lynn, Mass. (38 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2013. Funding is provided by Navy Working Capital Funds. Contract funds will not expire before the end of the fiscal year. This contract was not competitively awarded.
