CACI announced that it has won a five year contract worth $247 million to support rapid prototyping and technology insertion initiatives for Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center's Command, Power, and Integration Directorate (CP&ID) to the U.S Army. The company is one of the two prime contractors and will provide command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) prototyping integration, market segment, research, development, and implementation of new Army/Joint mission command/command and control concepts and technologies to the U.S Army. John Mengucci, CACI Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, "CERDEC's Command, Power and Integration Directorate has long been a core business client for our C4ISR team. This win culminates more than a year of capture activity at all levels of CACI management and significantly expands support for our forces". Dan Allen, CACI President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "It's clear that a key component of this new work for the Army's Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center is the efficient processing and dissemination of information for forward operating forces. This positions us for continued growth in our C4ISR market segment and aligns with our corporate mission to provide comprehensive information solutions and services for all our government clients".
