MKU To Introduce Wide Range Of Naval Solutions At Euronaval 2012

Defense giant MKU will be unveiling its latest assortment of modular Ballistic solutions for Naval vessels involved in maritime security and safety in troubled high seas. On display will be unique sea worthy, modular easy retrofit kits for armouring of Naval vessels. The kits come with specially treated surface coatings to counter rough salty sea water, corrosion & resultant weakening of the armour. These modular kits offer scalable and varying protection levels to different parts of the vessel, as the requirement might be. Wheel house armouring of the vessels is of prime importance as it ensures safety against long range ambush attacks which can happen suddenly on a patrolling vessels by marine insurgents, pirates or terrorists. On display shall be unique INSTAFLOAT, a revolutionary puncture resistant floatation body armour for marines & on deck staff of shipping lines. The vest has been been developed specially for the Navy, Coast Guard and other Marine Law Enforcement Agencies along with shipping line on-deck staff. They provide ballistic protection of up to NIJ Level III A, which can be further upgraded to Level III and Level IV using additional Hard Armour Inserts, while maintaining buoyancy and all other desired characteristics of a floatation vest. Coupled with QRS (Quick release System) this vest offers unique mechanism to divest the vest in emergency scenarios when in water or out of it. Also, on display shall be a Fully integrated combat helmet which comes with a unique IPS(Integrated Padding System ) which stands to absorb high impact energy arising in case of hits and is extremely well suited to mitigate and negate effects of blast waves and injuries thereto. Additionally, the padding system provides snug and comfortable fit for wearers comfort in extreme combat situations thus reducing fatigue and facilitating prolonged periods of usage. The helmet is fully compatible with all kinds of rail mounting systems and is fully equipped to adapt to any kind of mountable optical devices, like Night vision devices and other equipment required by the marines. MKU manufactures state of art Night Vision Devices to help soldiers achieve high sea low light transparency by employing surveillance, reconnaissance and target acquisition means to find the insurgents, miscreants or enemies and destroy him by accurate prophylactic as well as accurate aimed fire in dark and adverse visibility conditions. Jaguar 7, 14 & Nighteye products from MKU are aimed to enable marines in the sea to efficiently discharge their duties in extreme low-light situations.
