China Gets New Landing Craft
A Chinese military spokesman confirmed on Thursday that China has imported an air-cushioned landing craft that will be delivered to the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy.
Geng Yansheng, a Ministry of National Defense spokesman, said that China had purchases an air-cushioned landing craft from Ukraine.
The amphibious hovercraft has arrived in China and will be delivered to the PLA Navy "at a proper time," he said.
"China's weapon research and development is solely for national security and not aimed at any specific country or region," he said.
