Northrop Grumman is bringing together leading industry partners in aviation sustainment, training and operations to offer innovative solutions for Saudi Arabia's Ministry of National Guard (MNG) Integrated Maintenance Support Services contract.

The Northrop Grumman industry team consists of its joint venture companies Vinnell Arabia and Northrop Grumman Aviation Arabia, together with AAR, a wholly owned subsidiary of PAE, and QinetiQ North America, Inc.

"Through Vinnell Arabia, Northrop Grumman has been successfully supporting MNG for nearly 40 years by providing training, logistics, sustainment services and operational support," said Greg Schmidt, vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman's Training Solutions division. "The expert team that we have formed will enable us to expand and strengthen our capabilities so that we can continue to meet the evolving needs of MNG. This partnership allows us to provide a highly experienced, innovative and low risk support team focused on specific MNG requirements."

Vinnell Arabia began supporting MNG aviation assets with the introduction, integration and operational support of helicopters in late 2012, with the aircraft mission capable rate consistently exceeding the contractual requirement.

"This team has clearly demonstrated that it can work well together in Saudi Arabia and has succeeded in bringing this important capability to MNG," said Frank Simpkins, Northrop Grumman's strategic capture director for this effort. "Our team's superior performance has strategically positioned us to successfully support the next phase of this critical fielding – the integration of advanced aircraft into the MNG Aviation First Brigade."
