BMT Reliability Consultants Ltd (BMT) has won a three year contract extension with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) Air Defence & Air Traffic Systems (ADATS) Delivery Team.

BMT will continue supporting the MoD in assessing the in-service performance of its T101 and T102 radars - ensuring that they are managed effectively, while delivering to the required operational availability.

The ADATS Delivery Team is responsible for the through-life management of current air defence and air traffic systems. This includes providing surveillance capability to support military operations and enabling a safe, cost effective capability for air traffic management.

Flt Lt Dean Wilson RAF of the ADATS DT said, "The ADATS DT is pleased to renew its association with BMT Reliability Consultants as it provides essential support towards the achievement of our business objectives."

BMT Reliability Consultants' support is based on a proven data collection, analysis and validation process which has been developed to meet client needs by processing real time data to provide high confidence information against which KPIs can be managed. The equipment specific information collected and analysed is supplemented with data on site conditions, such as temperature, humidity, shock and power quality and consumption, to ensure a complete and accurate assessment is made. The integrity of the approach ensures that both the client and its contractors are fully committed to the results.

BMT Reliability Consultants' Managing Director, Andrew Cooper, said, “The award of this contract further reinforces not only the unique skills and experience that we offer, but the longstanding partnership we have with the ADATS Delivery Team. We look forward to continuing in our commitment to providing an impartial assessment of the performance of the radars."
