BMT Wins Land Systems Safety Regulator Support Contract

BMT Isis has won a contract to support U.K.’s Defence Land Systems Safety Regulator (LSSR) in reviewing and updating the Joint Service Publication, (JSP) 454, Land Systems Safety and Environmental Protection.

JSP 454 provides the MOD and their suppliers with the required Defence Regulations, codes of practice and supporting guidance needed to effectively manage safety and environmental protection for equipment procurement and in-service support.

BMT was tasked with reviewing and providing an updated draft of JSP 454 to ensure that it fully aligns with other supporting documents including: JSP 815 Defence Environment & Safety Management; LSSR Regulatory Framework and the LSSR Letter of Delegation. The new updated draft will allow all land safety representatives to fully understand the regulations and how to comply.
