Italian AJT Clears Verification Trials, Poland To Sign Agreement This Year

The Polish Air Force has announced that it has completed the compliance verification flights of the Italian M-346 Master advanced training aircraft, which has been selected as part of the contract for an integrated advanced training system (Advanced Jet Trainer-AJT). 

With the competition of the verification flights, a decision has been made to accept a formal offer made by Alenia Aermacchi SpA. Signing of the agreement is expected in the first quarter of 2014.

The aircraft was assessed at the 41 Aviation School Base in Deblin during a demonstration carried out on 3-5 February by the contractor in accordance with the rules, and to the extent specified in, the Terms of Reference (ToR), according to an official statement.

Checks carried out with the participation of the committee appointed to conduct the proceedings confirmed that the aircraft meets these requirements.
