AgustaWestland will unveil PZL-Swidnik SW-4 five seat single engine helicopter for the very first time at Heli Expo 2014, 25-27 February.
The SW-4 developed by PZL-Swidnik, an AgustaWestland Polish firm, is a light single multi-purpose helicopter which has modern technology, low operating costs and ease of flying, making it an excellent entry point to the light turbine helicopter segment.
At the exhibit, the company will also showcase the family of new generation helicopters, comprising the AW169, AW139 and AW189.
Additionally AgustaWestland will, for the very first time, be performing prearranged customer demonstration flights with the AW609 TiltRotor and also with the AW189. The AW609 TiltRotor, the world’s first commercial tiltrotor is being developed by AgustaWestland at its facilities in Arlington, TX, and Cascina Costa, Italy, with civil certification scheduled for 2017. Able to fly 750 nm and at speeds twice those of a helicopter at up to 25,000 ft, the AW609 TiltRotor is set to deliver a whole new capability in the vertical lift market.
Daniele Romiti, AgustaWestland’s CEO said “I invite everyone visiting Heli Expo to come and see our Family of new generation helicopters, a range of helicopters covering the 4 to 8 tonne weight categories that is unmatched in performance, capability and technology. The market success of the AW139 and the initial market response to the AW169 and AW189 has been outstanding, confirming our belief in the Family concept and the market leading capabilities of these helicopters.”
He added “We will also be demonstrating some of the new training systems and customer support services that are now available to keep our customers’ aircraft flying and helping to further improve safety. I hope that you can take time to be briefed on these advances and the advantages they can deliver to your business.”
