Odessa Aircraft Plant Will Implement MiG-21 Upgrade For Croatian MoD

The Odessa Aircraft Plant will continue to repair and upgrade MiG-21 aircraft for the Croatian Ministry of Defense in accordance with the schedule, Oleksandr Stecenko, Deputy Director General of Ukroboronprom State Concern said today. 

According to the executive, the plant together with its co-contractors managed to solve all technical problems and come to a working schedule, which allows meeting contract conditions timely. Thus, tree units of MiG-21Bis Aircraft are already located on the costumer’s base in Croatia on the stage of assembly and ground finalization of the product. 

Other three aircrafts have been post-repair tested and run orientation flights by the costumer’s air crew. Among them two MiG-21Bis aircraft are being prepared for the transportation, and one unit of MiG-21UMD is being on the painting stage. 

Mr. Stecenko also underlined that repairing and upgrading of other aircrafts – three units of MiG-21Bis and three units of MiG-21UMD – for the needs of Ministry of Defense of Croatian Republic is being performed on the production capacities of Odessa Aircraft Plant.
