Meggitt Training Systems has won a $31.7 million contract from the US Marine Corps to provide the Indoor Simulated Marksmanship Trainers (ISMT) system.

This five-year term contract includes system and weapon simulator development, as well as the installation and support of more than 670 systems at US Marine Corps facilities both domestically and worldwide.

The ISMT systems meet the US Marine Corps current training requirements, but have been designed to incorporate Meggitt’s FATS M100 flexible system architecture to ensure the systems can meet future growth and evolving training conditions.

“Meggitt Training Systems values the successful 26-year partnership as the Program of Record with the US Marine Corps. Our high-performance simulation systems, coupled with excellent customer support and program value, provided a strong foundation that led to this ISMT Program of Record award,” Phyllis Pearce, Senior Vice President said.

First deliveries are expected the end of 2015.
