Russian holding, Aviation Equipment has been authorized to participate in tenders to supply components for Russian aircraft used by the Indian Air Force, the company’s press service announced on Tuesday.
The registration of Aviation Service Center of Aviation Equipment by the Indian Air Force gives the holding the right to participate in tenders to supply parts to transport airplanes An-32 and Il, and also Mil helicopters Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171V, Mi-25/Mi-35.
At present the parties are working on the question of long term contracts for cooperation. These documents could be signed in the first half of 2015, according to the company statement.
It specifies that the Aviation Service Center’s registration has been granted for three years, however the document can be extended.
“The region of Aviation Service Center’s activities is expanding, and this enables the company to more actively develop, not only on the Indian market but in South East Asia and the Pacific as a whole," said the holding’s General Director Maxim Kuzyuk.
