RUAG, TAL Team Up On A320 Aerostructural Components

RUAG Aerostructures and TAL Manufacturing Solutions Ltd has entered into partnership for manufacturing and supply of aero structural components and sub-assemblies.

Under the $150 million contract, TAL will manufacture and supply over 550 sheet metal components, machined parts and sub-assemblies to RUAG, for Airbus’ A320 programme. Going into two fuselage sections of the Airbus A320, these parts are processed from steel, aluminium and titanium and involve use of some of the most sophisticated and futuristic equipment in aerospace manufacturing.

The new work scope allows RUAG to strengthen and optimize the global supply chain to the advantage of Airbus.
