Saab has secured a SEK 1.8 billion ($189 million) contract from the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces of the Czech Republic to deliver its Mobile Short Range Air Defence (MSHORAD) solution.
Deliveries are scheduled between 2028 and 2030.
The order includes Saab’s mobile firing units based on the RBS 70 NG missile system, equipped with Bolide missiles. These will be integrated onto the Czech-manufactured MARS S-330 vehicle by SVOS, providing enhanced mobility for front-line air defence.
A joint command-and-control system will be delivered by Saab in cooperation with a Czech partner, while the solution will also rely on radar already operational with the Czech Armed Forces.
The MSHORAD solution is designed to protect mobile forces against aerial threats. It is a modular system that combines detection, tracking, and engagement units with integrated command-and-control. Saab offers it as a turnkey solution or in segments to fit existing defence setups.
