UAE To Receive Three AW139 SAR Helicopters

AgustaWestland announced Thursday delivery of the next batch of three AW139 intermediate twin helicopters to the Joint Aviation Command of the United Arab Emirates (JAC). 

Additional three AW139s are expected to be delivered later this year. AW139 has two PT6-67C turboshaft engines with FADEC minimise pilot workload and it offers high power margins for maximum safety.

One engine inoperative performance, operational capabilities, reliability and safety standards is said to have made the AW139 helicopter of choice.

JAC’s AW139s is provided with a range of MRO and logistics services on site by AgustaWestland Aviation Services Ltd (AWAS, an Abu Dhabi Aviation and AgustaWestland joint venture) to ensure maximized operational effectiveness to perform critical missions. 

JAC is one among operators who have selected the AW139 in UAE for a wide range of missions including passenger transport, utility, law enforcement, search and rescue and offshore transport.
